Re: Classic cars on the road
If it is a second gen Civic, I had some experience. A friend owned one for a couple of years until it rusted away (they did rust fast). I remember it as a good, enjoyable car to drive.

Re: Classic cars on the road
As a fan and owner of "big" Triumph saloons, I always hated when someone said these were good for povriding the engine and gearbox for a TR6. A lot of Saloons were scrapped just because of this. I think the same applies to Austin / VandenPlas Princesses.

Re: Classic cars on the road
2.5 PI Mk2 Estate - yes, pretty rare in this pre-facelift (the prettiest) form. Great cars these "big" saloons, although this is not a saloon of course! Interesting to see this one seems to wear nice real Rostyle wheels by the look of it. Standard fitment were questionable fake (5 nuts whe...

Re: Best Version of Interceptor (Saloon) and Why?
The performance difference between the series should not be a deal breaker because as Rocky says you are able to build it just as you want. Love the lower front bumper (Mk1) and the smaller Italian rear lamps (Mk1 and early Mk2). A pretty big (maybe the biggest), negative of the Mk1 is the missing a...

Re: Article on the GT on Radical / 30064 for sale
Good article, nice to see positive things printed about the GT.
Interesting to know if it will have any effect on the auction (which is for a very small market - in Germany with a RHD car).

H&H auction: 1931 AJS - Jensen touer
Chassis number D2 was produced in rolling-chassis form in 1931, being purchased from AJS by Chamberlain, King, & Jones, the Birmingham distributor for AJS cars. Jensen brothers, bodybuilders in the early 1900s (and early formation of the well-renowned Jensen Motors Limited), were then paid, to ...

Re: Selling my Interceptor MKII - Phil Fish
They look a lot like the door mirrors on the Jaguar XJ series 3, and XJS. If so it would not be so hard to find. The mounting plinth might be different.Dino Fritz wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 6:23 amAnd also fitted with a pair of S4 door mirrors too (what I would give to have a pair for my convertible)!

Re: What do you call your Jensen?
VFK44 looks lovely!
If the underside is not too rusty I would just get it running and sparingly/carefully use as it is. Not all cars need to be restored.

Re: What do you call your Jensen?
So how is VFK44 doing? I cannot seem to remember any pictures of it in the last 20 years or so on the forum. What condition is it in? Would be interesting to hear what your thoughts and plans are with the car.

Fully agree with Felix. Also, I do not see pedantry, he is just stating facts.
Keith, your answers often have a way to make people annoyed, or irritated. Amazing because usually there is no reason at all for that.
