Re: My new Interceptor - '72 Mk 111, 133-5597

Hi Rocky, Thanks for the update with pics. Always good to see work in action pictures. I bet you were sorry about the dented grease tin :D Looking at the pics I do not see where the tops of the threaded rods are. Do they screw into the lower suspension arms? As for the long nuts - an alternative can...

 It would be better if this post had appeared in the Member Only Discussion subforum as it will only apply to members. Non members now will get the impression we have a sub-standard magazine. It is not! Great als always.

Re: Interceptor 1 Vignale on car and classic

115/2716 a non Vignale car sold yesterday online £24,500 plus premiums. A local SW Jensen owner recently used collecting cars to sell his Land Rover. Very impressed , quick efficient. John P It may be quick and efficient but the final bid was a bit on the low side (for the Interceptor). Good for th...

If only I had the room.
It is something that I hear now and then but which I cannot understand. If you really, really want this car, better make some room for it. There are many possible ways if you really, really want I would think.

Re: Jaguar XJR (X300 6 cy) prices vs condition on the contin

even if being a V8 The seller entered the wrong data I think because it is a 6 cylinder. Easy way to tell are the chrome strips on the front and rear bumpers. 6 cil have a full length one piece, V8 is split. A further easy clue is the dash. 6 cil has a pod with instruments, V8 is has full length wo...

Re: Jaguar XJR (X300 6 cy) prices vs condition on the contin

The X350 R might be the best for some but I could not live with the inferior styling, down from the X300/308. There are a few 6 cil XJR around in the Netherlands, they still fetch a decent amount of money over the unsupercharged 3.2 and 4.0 XJ6 models. They sold reasonably well in the USA too, seein...

Re: 1967 Interceptor 117-2595 (Sincar) for sale in Sweden

Great to see the pictures! I see your car has the same mistake that my car has: engine number on the chassis number plate. What were they thinking? Also interesting to see the engine number of your car is just one before mine, while the chassis number is more apart (2595 vs 2610). Even more strange ...

Well if you have a big enough shed and do not want or care to sell the car, why not? I have a couple of cars in the shed that have been there for 25+ years. One day.... you know the drill.
But interesting to see an early LHD surfacing!

Re: USA - transferring money

That's a great boat Grant!
Wolfgang - if it was about a lot of money more then probably I would take more precautions. But as said, I have to have a good feeling about a sale and the seller and his honesty and as of yet this has not failed me. Hope it never will.
