Re: My Early Mk3 Interceptor Restoration project
A battery isolator is a good idea but yours is not very attractive. As John says it is much more convenient to put one in a footwell. I have fitted one high up in the passenger footwell of my TR4, out of sight. Easy to use, I take out the red plastic key whenever the car is parked somewhere. I fitte...

Re: Jensen P66 Prototype
What is there to explain?
The P66 was the proposed successor to the CV8, to be named the Interceptor. Two prototypes were made, a coupe and a convertible. The coupe survived and is for sale.

Re: Labour Hours need for a N&B restoration of an Interceptor?
Realise that an Interceptor is no ordinary mass produced car. This has its advantages, there are many ways and options to get everything right. However the negative is that it also means it needs many hours to get everything right. Just to give an example, I was gobsmacked how many hours went into j...

Re: usa registration/VIN
Why all the paperwork? If you have an original Title then that is all you need. Plus a Bill Of Sale, which is just a piece of paper made up consisting the names of the seller and purchaser, purchase date and signatures. In my experience the RDW is none too strict about the Seller, does not even has ...

Re: Rocking horse poo!
They may be rare but I do not like the look of these at all when on the car. Looks a bit cheap. Unfounded of course as it is probably a good idea if you use the car much and are afraid of stone damage. But knowing most of the Interceptors are not used as daily drivers so why would you allow an ugly ...

Re: My Interceptor MK2 rebuild
the next job is going to be building up the window frames and fitting out the doors which will be fun as I have no idea of the order of build. A bit of trial and error coming up I think. Yes you can say that. The doors are an excellent example of why these cars are so labour intensive when it comes...

Interesting to see if this new kind of format will catch on. Hope so, for the buyer it is very good seeing that many pictures and honesty. Bring A Trailer in the US is very successful ( https://bringatrailer.com ). Having the chat functionality is really useful, they should have something similar on...

Re: My New Interceptor - '72 Mk 111, 133-5597
Ps. How far is it from Calais to Istanbul? I heard that excursion was what the Interceptor cars are designed for, especially if you don’t want Jeeves (or Grant) to drive you on that journey in the Rolls! ist.png Approx 1800 miles according to G Maps. Watch out for the roadworks :D So a little less ...

Re: Indoor framed carcoon / cair-o-port storage system
These Volvo's.... these were a big part in my early automotive years. They sold very well in the Netherlands. When I got my drivers license, I got myself a Hillman Imp - a type I knew nothing about and had never seen before. A local Volvo specialist offered space to do the necessary repairs myself w...

Re: Classic cars on the road
I appreciate it is an out of the ordinary design, which is a plus in my book, but never much liked them. As for the "mint" and "straightest" example, the left hand door front bottom corner does not line up too well. The chrome wheel trims looks a little out of place on a car with...
