Re: joke thread

Paddy and Mick are two Irishmen working at the local sawmill. One day, Mick slips and his arm gets caught and severed by the big bench saw. Paddy quickly puts the limb in a plastic bag and rushes it and Mick to the local hospital. Next day, Paddy goes to the hospital and asks after Mick. The nurse s...

Re: joke thread

An American on holiday in the west of Ireland wanted to play some golf so he asked at the hotel's club house if there was anyone he could pair up with for a round the following morning. 'Paddy will surely play with you' the manager told him and then duly introduced him. The American asked Paddy what...

Justin,
How did you overcome the problem? I assume you're using tubular headers too?
Four standard length brass nuts in the tight corners and long reach nuts on all d'others.

Long reach nuts won't work in there either, don't ask how I know

They will work on all but four studs.

Re: Jensen Tour of Southern Ireland - September 2018

Took a blast to Connemara on Sunday, between dodging sheep, hire cars in the middle of the road, and visitors who don't look right first before crossing the road  I remembered to take a few pics. Forgot how rough the roads are, plenty of dips and humps, the suspension got a good workout (mind...

Re: Does anyone here make up their own ignition leads?

Thanks - the Accel leads look superb quality. It's not clear from the description, but it seems from the photos that the wires are supplied over-length, so you just cut to length and crimp the end that goes to the dist cap. But with shipping they won't be a lot less than £100 the set... Still cheap...

Re: Does anyone here make up their own ignition leads?

Bought a set of Accel ceramic boot leads from Jegs after fitting Appleyard's headers, they are plenty long enough to route the wires away from the headers: http://www.jegs.com/i/Accel/110/9001C/10002/-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; And a cheapie crimping tool, can't remem...

Re: Jensen C-V8 Colour Codes

Had a dig around but could only find one pot of deep carriage green paint that I had mixed last year to fix a few chips. I did have a second from several years ago which had gone 'off', but I've obviously binned it as it was not where it should be (and as it was rock hard it was about as useful as t...
