Re: Modified Cars - The Good , Bad & Ugly ..

Yeah the brass hook was temporary until I could get a working glove box latch.
I had the interior done professionally and they said they couldn’t save the stainless steel strip when redoing the door panels so we agreed on using the grey perforated vinyl used for the seat inserts.

Thanks David, Kees posted them being sold on eBay, got lucky and bought them for £99. I paid more for the new tyres.

Re: alloy wheels for Jensen-Healey

Thanks Kees, I just made the winning bid at £99. Now just have to find some tyres to put on them my calculations 215/60R13 would give pretty much the same rolling diameter but looks like only 205/60R13 is available.

Re: First Jensen Healey GT article Sept 1992 Classic Cars

The picture is interesting, it has early wheels but late front wings and light buckets. Although the wings etc are a common retrofit on restoring mk1’s without much modification, the late bumpers would have been difficult to fit surely?

Nice Adam, did you use a separate mic in the car? When I mount a camera where you did I get loads of wind noise.

Re: Lindsey Bishop - Jensen Healey MKI

Wow! It's looking really good now Lindsey. How nice to have a Healey as car of the month. I like the seatbelt brackets - where did you get them from? Look forward to seeing it again soon. I bought some nice aluminium ones here https://alloycarparts.co.uk/product/mgb-mgc-triumph-spitfire-aluminium-s...

Nice one Clive. I see you say "bigger front discs and bigger callipers" what are they going to be from?
As you know I have the V8 in mine and I'm still looking into better braking.

Re: painting tips

Hi Chris , yes that’s my car and stupidly I asked the painter to spray it in a Red Bull racing colour, which at the time was blue with some purple in it. I haven’t been able to match it since. A close colour, although more blue without purple is Jaguar Pacific Blue.

Hi David do you think this will be going ahead? I was going to Bicester Scramble , bought my ticket, so couldn’t come but they’ve postponed it now due to covid19.
