Re: Need a tachometer for a 1936 Jensen Ford - Any ideas?
Well said, David. But was there an original to copy? Could it be that this model had a large clock in the second instrument hole?

Re: Need a tachometer for a 1936 Jensen Ford - Any ideas?
Amazing how quickly we have an answer for this query! From the US "FordBarn.com" site, Don Rogers had this to say: Here is the latest from my research at The Ford Archives. SPEEDOMETERS The new speedometers for 1935 had a “silver brush finish” dial face with “grey litho” mile marks and dia...

Re: Spring Weekend 2024 - April 5th to 7th
Literary hundreds of large potholes and very bumpy road surfaces, even on the main road The one consolation is that when the work is finally done, British workers (possibly also throughout the world) do a REALLY good job. I'm not talking about the temporary bodge filling, I'm talking about the mast...

Re: Rear handbrake assembly fork
These parts are indeed of the type that are fitted to disc-brake 541s as retractors. I think they come in differing sizes, so may be off a different model. Does the C-V8 not have anything like this?

The lack of an engine is not mentioned anywhere in the lengthy auction notes by the aptly named Mr. Cheetham.Peter Rothery wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 7:47 am ..one major component seems to be missing from the pictures......

Re: Interceptor NYU 11H
It does look very much like a Seicento, but the wheels are very small.
I have gone to the auction website and found it was actually for sale. Apparently, it's a "2002 Virgo Prestige HSE Microcar" (not sure what's so prestige about it).

Re: New member, 75 interceptor convertible
The ability to correctly restore an Interceptor hood must be a very rare skill. Do L'Atelier Classiques also have the ability to restore the mechanism (microswitches etc.)? And did they find any graffiti inside the hood lining - I remember someone found some fifty year old political comments inside ...

By the way, I'm not sure you could put this in the "Classics on the Road" thread as the Porsche is surely too young to be classified as a classic, yet.

Re: Just seen this
Those pictures of the back streets of St Paul de Vence by night remind me of the "Photoshops" that Keith used to do of cars such as his "Predator" reimagined Interceptor.
