My car was one of the late ones and Robeys said they didnt have anything on file :( Then a couple of months later, out of the blue and at no charge they emailed me the couple of pages there'd found which was pretty darn good them them. Mine didnt even make it to the dealer' - AT Aked's . Broke down ...

My Stag is extremely tidy but unfeasibly gutless compared to my convertible.

Great contrast of two cars made at the same time. One made in a shed by craftsmen whilst in recievership, one in a factory of blokes also heading for recievership.

Jim, 2340-1840 started out (accordign to what came with the car) in 77 as SBF886R, in 81 changed to 856FBU, in 88 became SJT51, then in 92 became OWK221P, then HUM389N in 2003. it was initially registered in the IOM Jan 76 - don't know the rego, purchaser was R S Formby.. I bought it and had it ship...

You lucky bastards. Gas used to be ok here. Certainly well under the UK.

Well over NZ $2 a litre.

A barrel is barely the third of the cost it was a month ago. In our case it’s govt taxes ....

News to me. Would also be concerned about twisting and bending the frame if dragged up and down by hand.

My 2c worth .... it all really depends on how you plan to use it. Body-wise it can all be rebuilt, so too the interior- pretty much all the parts are available somewhere. Even starting with as good as a body as you can find it sounds like you will start from scratch anyway to get the quality you wan...
