Re: oil filter update

Sounds like a good idea!

Is it easy to change the paper element type filter, or are there some pitfalls to be aware of?

I've managed to completely destroy a modern style oil filter before when trying to unscrew it!

One looks to be a classified advert and the other is an auction price estimate.

Re: Interceptor II OFL 265K £45,000

That was the car that Reemmachine repainted last year.

You would think that whilst having the interior renovated, they would have restored the steering wheel too?

Re: Chasing classic cars

To be fair, it is not meant to be about restoration, it is about maximising the profit by making well judged changes to the cars. Sometimes, like with the Fiat 130, it might become a labour of love and a total restoration. It hasn't worked too well then as, I've seen some of the cars for sale on eb...

Re: My Interceptor MK2....

I've been clearing my shed out and found the remains of my air con system. The previous owner removed it from the engine bay and this was all that was left. It was in an oily sack in a box, in the boot of the car when I bought it and has been in the shed ever since. It looks like I will need to repl...

Re: Chasing classic cars

What happened to the Interceptor that Salvage Hunters were going to restore last year?

It hasn't reappeared since they bought it. Most of the cars they've "restored" have ended up on ebay and are still for sale!

Re: Factory paperwork....

Here's the link to their site, for vehicle history paperwork....

https://www.martinrobey.com/search?q=photocopy" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I emailed them with my chassis number first, to check if they had much for my car before ordering.

Cheers,
Jez

Re: Factory paperwork....

Have often heard about lots of warranty claims but you have to feel for Jensen as most of these were outside their control. radiator, alternator, steering rack, wheel bearing, switches ... none of those really Jensen's fault. Mike There were quite a few small niggly problems on my car which should ...

I don't know what that refers to.

My engine number will now be different as it was replaced by a previous owner in 2003 with another from the USA.

Re: Factory paperwork....

Well worth the money When I bought mine there was very little in it. The paint from the factory seemed the worst thing. :D I emailed them first to see if they had much paperwork for my car and they replied that they had a decent amount, so it was worthwhile and nice to add to the box file of other ...

Re: Factory paperwork....

It appears that it was ordered from the factory for production in May 1970, delivered for the 1st of August and the first warranty claim was issued on the 3rd of August! By the 3rd of August there was an oil leak from the engine and a loss of hydraulic brake fluid and the stereo was malfuncti...

Factory paperwork....

I received copies of the original factory paperwork for my car from Martin Robey today. It is nice that the car is still on it's original number plate. It was supplied to Hughes of Beaconsfield as a "Demonstration Car", finished in Tangerine, with a black interior and with air conditioning...
