Re: MY MK 2 WITH THE ORIGINAL RIMS BACK ON THE CAR !

Good morning from sunny LA ! THANK YOU guys for all your comments, so when I take the wheels off the car to put the center caps back in the wheels, I will change the springs to lower the front of the car as suggested. Should I change the front shocks or all four shocks at the same time and any speci...

Re: MY MK 2 WITH THE ORIGINAL RIMS BACK ON THE CAR !

Good afternoon from Los Angeles ! Thank you for all your kind comments. The tires on the car are Pirelli 215 x 70 15, I wanted a bigger tire, the other 60 inch tires were a little to small to fill the wheel well. The cost of converting back to the original rims was around two thousand dollars, refur...

Re: DAMAGE TO BODYWORK ON MY MK 2 FENDER AND ROOF !

Good morning from sunny Los Angeles ! Thank you for all your valuable comments. I decided to show the damage to the roof and fender of my MK 2 to show that the car was not perfect and that a fifty year old car may have had a few dents and body damage over the years. I tend to look at the big picture...

Re: DAMAGE TO BODYWORK ON MY MK 2 FENDER AND ROOF !

Dear Dino and Rocky, Thanks for your comments ! Should I peel the whole paint off the roof and just repaint the roof in Oxford Green for now ? My brother said just glue the fender piece back on the car and just enjoy driving it for now ? I would rather work on the interior and mechanical stuff, than...

Re: RE POLISHED /PAINTED MK2 RIM'S CORRECT TIRE SIZE NEEDED

Dear Grant, Thank you or your advice and comment. The good news is that I spoke to the original owner of the MK2 and he has the original front calipers !! Re: RE POLISHED /PAINTED MK2 RIM'S CORRECT TIRE SIZE NEEDED

Dear Members, Good evening from Los Angeles ! So I took my 71 MK2 to the tire shop earlier today to install the original MK2 rims on new Pirelli P4 tires. We took the MK3 rims off the front of the car and found to our dismay that the original rims would not fit on the car, as the brake caliper was h...

Re: 1972 440 ENGINE AND TRANS PURCHASED FOR MY 1974 MK 3 !

Hi Rocky, When you say "what is it from " do you mean that this engine is NOT from a Jensen Interceptor and is this the consensus also from Steve Payne ? There are numbers on the engine which may shed light on where it came from,I will research later. The seller suggested it may be a Chrys...
