Re: Int Convertible on Car and Classic auction site soon 2340-9879

I think it was relisted with a higher guide price....either way, that was a ludicrously low price for a convertible. I probably paid way over the odds for mine, but 4 yrs ago I paid £45k for a barn find condition convertible....

Re: Mike Grant

I should perhaps also add that whilst originally registered in Stourbridge, the car was in Lichfield in the mid 80s, and then spent most of its life in London. Much of its recent life was in the ownership of a number of Indian families, including an ex-Rolls-Royce engineer who owned it for many year...

Re: Mike Grant

Thanks Grant! It's me trying to find the history of my convertible! If anyone else has any old photos /knowledge etc, my car is 2340-1023, is now on registration KLL536N, and was previously on RPL2 (and something unknown prior to that). It was originally sold to a Mr MP Collins in Stourbridge. Whils...

Re: Interceptor Registration Numbers

Hi Jim. Yes, I bought 2340-1023 from Mr Bhogal. The car is a chocolate brown colour that can look black. Either way, it needs to go back to Brienz once the rest of its restoration is done! The mileage is correct. It's currently undergoing a complete mechanical rebuild. And yes, I was a previous laps...

Re: Interceptor Registration Numbers

Hi Jim - congratulations on a huge, but amazing, task. I'm (almost!) envious! I will list below some details for you - if you have any more to share back, that would be terrific:- 123-3752 Registration was originally YFH 14H in Silver. Subsequently changed to BLF 456H. I bought it in July 1986 for £...

My Int III - as in the mag p40

Unexpectedly, my H-series Int 3 is for sale. You can see some nice pics of it in this month's JOC mag (page 40-42). This sale wasnt anticipated - I was restoring this car for myself and concentrated first on getting the mechanicals right.... But... I've now bought a convertible and need the cash to ...

Oh dear. It's now blue and black. I think the fact that it is so far away from original rules it out for me....Thanks Chris

2310/1666

This car is for sale at Peter Vardy Heritage in Edinburgh with an £80k price tag. I reckon it should be a lhd US supplied car, but it is now definitely rhd and looks to have been put back to UK spec. Can anyone check this in the chassis book and let me know what it should be (colour etc)? Has anyone...

Re: Compression ratios on new alloy Edelbrock performer head

Hi....Thanks for the helpful advice guys! Yes, the timing gear was original nylon - but surprisingly all intact... So we have got a metal one to replace it, and a set of new bulkhead insulation coming from Robeys too! What started as a job to fix an exhaust manifold blow has grown to a full engine r...
