I've been working on my 4 speed J type overdrive gearbox rebuild which is almost complete now. Have spent this afternoon adjusting the pressure relief valve which was successful. Thought you may be interested in seeing some of the tooling I had to source and make to do the rebuild, including testing.
There was also an adaptor I machined for the pressure gauge.

That's a J type overdrive.
I found it a pretty involved job to rebuild the whole thing but if you can do it yourself, you'll save a load of £££!

Yes it is a H120 from a Sunbeam I think, you can have either a 'D' or 'J' type. I had a 'D' type but sheared the mainshaft last year in Scotland and the 'J' type is stronger, so I'm told. So you have two options with fitting this in the JH which depends on which input shaft you want to use. 1) Jense...
