Re: Surviving Interceptors

Thanks for the info about 115/3295. Was in contact with the seller who told me its been in the family since early 80s. Got some more pictures as well, its dirty and needs alot of work but I think its defently worth to save it.

Re: Interceptor mk2 123/3708

Thanks for the pictures, have to say that I think both looks very good but if we can get the rostyles in good shape they will be used because they are original.

So its from Sweden (very nice car!), then maybe its on my list from the swedish JOC in the 80s.

Re: Interceptor mk2 123/3708

Had a look at the rostyles today and I belive it is original because there was a stamp 6jk-15. If I understand it correct Rostyles where very common on British cars around the seventies but this size was only for Jensen Interceptor mk2? They seem to be very hard to find for sale.

Re: Interceptor mk2 123/3708

Re: Spark plugs

This is a djungel with spark plugs but I understand that it is the short type that is correct. I have change back to the old ones for now. Here in Sweden I think NGK is the most common brand but there is many to choose from, but BP5S should be ok?

Re: Spark plugs

So after reading this post I bought 8 NKG BP5HS but they are longer than the old ones. Is a Interceptor mk2 with 383 engine and in original state. Will the pistons shoot out the new spark plugs?

We have only made a quick check under and it didnt look to bad. The biggest consern so far is that it is total dead in the electronic system.

Re: Interceptor mk2 123/3708

It turned out to be easier than we thought. We found two good spots underneath to attach straps and then connect them with one long strap. Then it was just to inflate the tires, put it in neutral and pull it out. Next step will be to get the trailer and free it from the barn.

Re: Interceptor mk2 123/3708

Yes I have googled pictures how it looks underneath and that looks like the best place even if it looks like there is brake lines or something like that.

Interceptor mk2 123/3708

Hi! Short introduction. My father had this Interceptor since the early 80s and he was very activ in the Swedish Jensen club. Due to lack of time it has been in a barn for about 20 years and in a garage about 10 years before that. Last time it was on the road was in the late 80s. Now me and my brothe...

Re: Jensen Interceptor in Sweden

Made a quick google translate of the important info: The car has been fully renovated by Auto Craft and Brinken Garage in Rättvik between 2001-2004. Body, engine, gearbox, interior design and more have been thoroughly reviewed and renovated, and many parts change to new ones. Closed costs incl. Body...
