Re: Int 3 at Stacey's auction AJW 219M
Wow...That looks cheap and on the surface in pretty good shape. Engine bay looks really good. not sure about the paint. Price chart from Pete was interesting. looks like the Mk1 has premium over MK2/3 and SP. Dont think thats always been the case. What is clear Jensens are not a car for investors th...

Re: Best Version of Interceptor (Saloon) and Why?
Best for sure Late MK1. By then they had ironed out all the Vignale early issues. FF top of the tree. MK1 has the best bumpers. Late MK1 benifited from Mk2 underneath upgrades. MK1 .. Best interior by a mile. Later interiors got progressively bulky and disjointed looking in my view. Also later steer...

Re: New member advice
Most have said it already. BODYWORK. Fact... It will have rusted. So check very closely how well its been restored... Photos of work carried out and by who. COMPLETE. Make sure everything is there, and ideally numbers match. These cars languished unloved through the 80s and 90s, so many were butcher...

Re: Check your fuel tank inlet hose
I worked in the oil industry all my working life and from experience am no fan of Ethanol. Ethanol dosed in small amounts into LPG sections in oil refinery to take advantage of its hydroscopic properties. Great for water separation and preventing water crystallisation however comes with its own prob...

Recommendation for company to complete restoration
Good morning fellow Jensen owners. I have a Jensen Interceptor Mk1 which is partly restored but may need to find a company to complete outstanding work. Could anyone please advise on companies that could complete this work to a high standard. The work so far has been carried out to a very high stand...

Re: Mk1 front and rear bumpers complete
Hi Bumpers look decent and suitable for restoring. Im interested as they may be better than ones i currently have. All comes down to cost. How much would you want for them. Interestingly, why did you decide to go for stainless and are you happy with these. If so how much and who supplies these and h...

Re: Restoration of 115/3495
Thanks Chris.
The photos look like the car is a darker colour than mine, but that could just be black and white photo.
Also guess the car colour may have faded with time.

Restoration of 115/3495
Restoration just started on Interceptor MK1 115/3495. Been in family since mid 70s. Come of the road in early 90s and remained in dads garage until last year. All original. Managed to fire it up briefly last year. Unfortunately newly purchased car cover neatly folded behind car exhaust become early ...

Re: Carl Duerr

Under the heading 'How to change Red into Black I have scanned it in and hope that your be able to read it without to much trouble Interes...
