Re: Car Iconics Interceptor
Hard to say without seeing it in the flesh, but it looks like a pretty good example. You certainly would want to check underneath for rust in the sills & wheel arches. You would certainly want to be sure all the climate systems work. You want to be sure the Torqueflite operates properly, and you...

Re: Door Key Blanks... USA Western Region
No, I have not had a key cut from a tumbler.
I was lucky enough to have two working locks, and one working key, so worked hard on just duplicating the hood key…
That was hard enough!
Good luck!

Door Key Blanks... USA Western Region
Hey Gang - I was struggling to get door keys cut for my '72 Interceptor Mk111. The one key that worked was marked: Ilco Canada MAS1 I was able to get some: USA Ilco 1180S XL7 blanks. The XL7 blanks are not EXACTLY the same as the MAS1 blanks, there is an extra groove on them, and the "meat"...

If you haven't seen "Night of the Lepus", it's sort of like "Island of Terror", but with rabbits, instead of silicates!

Re: Drive it Day 2024.
Nice pictures, everyone! It is nice weather here…. I would say “warm and sunny”…. The heat is still on its way. Thanks for the compliments on the cactus. Actually, that is an “Organ Pipe” cactus, and this relatively small National monument is the only place in the US that they grow naturally. They a...

We could not make it out to the Cotswolds, or even as far as Slough, but we are out and about in the Interceptor!
It always generates a lot of comment!
We are in Ajo, Arizona!

Beautiful looking car – it looks a different color in front of the “ancient vehicles” sign!
I’m sure you will have many miles of excitement in it!

Re: My New Interceptor - '72 Mk 111, 133-5597
I installed my Compushift Transmission Controller A/B switch. It’s the tiny pushbutton between the A/F Ratio gauge, and the Vacuum gauge. It lights up blue in “B” configuration. A = Leisurely Cruise Mode B = HiPo Shift Mode (Higher RPM Shift Point) Amazing how long this one took…. Had a 2 week setba...

Re: Interceptor MKIII - 129/5640 - Complete restoration
Thank you for the pictures. I’ll take a close look at them and see if they can help me to make both of my recliners work. I thought it was a colony of France, possibly near the Sverdrup Islands? (j/k…. I was just kidding you!) Rocky* * Rocky is my original internet name, from the Toyota Land Cruiser...

Re: Interceptor MKIII - 129/5640 - Complete restoration
The headrests are difficult to remove. I have never been able to get mine out. I have heard stories of people holding the seats by the headrest and using the weight of the seat (with a swift, sure pull) to overcome the "lock mechanism" in the headrest slider. I have been unsuccessful in at...
