Re: My new Interceptor - '72 Mk 111, 133-5597

Thanks, all, for the tips.

Dion - yes. The all-thread screws into the lower A-arm in place of the bolts.

PS... Regarding my grease tin... I sure am. I backed over it, and crushed it. I’m still looking for a good replacement!

Re: My new Interceptor - '72 Mk 111, 133-5597

So after the long trip to Prescott - I decided to take a look at my suspension. The PO had replaced the bushings, but there is some "clanking", and a couple of other minor issues I wanted to investigate. I found: - Torn and Leaky Steering Rack Boots - No Tie-Rod Boots - Ball Joint Boots ar...

Re: Rogue gods, Etypes and rotten fate

Felix, you made me laugh out loud with that one! But I heartily agree! No good can come from them! (Seriously IMHO). Cruises are a manufactured experience. Just like going to Disneyland, or many of these other vacation options. They plan out everything for you. Why don’t people just jump in the car ...

I found my original color (Tangerine) in the wing side vents, hidden by black undercoating.

You might check there.

Re: Two Jensen Mk IIIs meet today in Prescott, AZ

I’ll let Tony status the sunroof. The fan is a PO modification to run a mechanical fan directly off the engine. It looks like it is a modification to the factory shroud, to fill all the openings with a sheet metal plate, with a ring around a multi-bladed plastic fan... Honestly, I neglected to look ...

Re: Two Jensen Mk IIIs meet today in Prescott, AZ

We had a great trip, appropriately distanced! It was good to meet Tony and his wife, Tony and I spent about two hours discussing the cars and the difference between them. Mileage is similar (about ~65K miles on both). Tony’s seats are original (mine have been recovered in leather) and the old leathe...

Re: My new Interceptor - '72 Mk 111, 133-5597

My wife and I took a drive in Big Wild up to Prescott, AZ to meet the newest Arizona Interceptor Owner (Tony) and to see his new car! It was a great trip, the car ran great, the weather was beautiful, and there was lots to see and do. I even went to the Prescott Cars & Coffee quickly this mornin...

Re: Modified Cars - The Good , Bad & Ugly ..

I thought the 3rd picture (The Interceceptor Restyled Rear End V2) was just a photochop?

I hope that wasn’t done to an actual car!

Rocky

PS. Someone needs to post up the Viperceptor, and the Fast and Furious car!

Re: 1972 Jensen Mk III - 133/5722

I think it depends on the state of the car, and your near/ long term plans... If it runs and you want to drive it for a while.... 1. Change all fluids 2. Safety Items (Brakes/Steering) 3. Engine (Fuel/Cooling) If you are going to do a 100% resto, and only want to do it once, then you may have a comp...

Re: Status Frank Schwartz

Very sad news.

He has done a lot of good for the Jensen Marque here in the USA.

I have his compilation of his “Tech Tips” both electronically, and in a hard copy version that came with the car!

Best wishes to Frank, his Family and Friends during this difficult time...
