Re: What did you do with your car today/weekend?

If I am trying to remove a circlip or some other small part when I know there is a high chance of it springing off never to be seen again, I sometimes tie a length of string or similar to it first to make it easier to find. You could do the same with a screw that you don't want to lose, before compl...

Re: Richard Calver

Terrible news. Richard’s passing is a great loss and he will be sorely missed. It was a privilege to have known him and to have worked with him on the JCCA Committee,

Re: Slowly Getting Back to Normal

Hi Kevin,

As you probably know the same AC air cleaners albeit with shorter trumpets are fitted to the JH. It shouldn't be too hard to find a spare JH air cleaner and fabricating and fitting longer trumpets may be a possible solution to your missing air cleaner,

Re: Cam - which to choose

Hi Steve, I purchased my cam around 10 years ago but it seems that the part no. has not changed according to Lunati's website. It's often hard to get definitive advice on this type of issue. I have also read that toughened distributor/oil pump gears for use with billet steel camshafts have to be mat...

Re: Cam - which to choose

Hi Steve, Some years ago I purchased the same Lunati hydraulic roller cam I as you. I recall thinking at the time that their information on whether a bronze oil pump/distributor drive gear was required was ambiguous so I rang their tech support to check and they advised me to use a bronze gear. It w...

That ebay seller has listed a number of different watches in the past all with the same style Jensen logo on the face so draw your own conclusions as to authenticity,

Re: Electric v Petrol/Diesel inc. Classic - Great Video

There’s no easy answers....
True. Ammonia will only be part of the story and primarily as a transport medium for hydrogen. I referenced those videos for interests sake and was not trying to imply that ammonia will be the primary means of fueling cars in the future,

Re: Electric v Petrol/Diesel inc. Classic - Great Video

The move to export hydrogen generated from renewable energy (hydro, solar and wind) by hydrolysis of water is gathering momentum in Australia. Existing ammonia production technology will be used to combine the hydrogen with nitrogen from the atmosphere to form ammonia (NH3), which can be readily liq...

Re: Keeping Busy Whilst Self Isolating

The issue with copper is that they can crack due to work hardening
I understand cupro-nickel (cunifer) can be used which gets around the work hardening issue,
