Re: Determining match numbers

I have had my SP for 33 years. When i first got her the engine overheated very badly and ran poorly. I took the plunge and went to a specialist who told me the block was cracked and not worth saving. I protested that this wood not make an all numbers matching. They said that "this is not a %$^&...

Rogue gods, Etypes and rotten fate

There is a local classic car club in my general area. The members are generally well North of middle age. We had a meeting in a local park as due to covid our normal meeting place is banned. The usual agenda with new and intending members welcomed. There was a small man sitting in the chair in front...

Re: Really ?

I think a post from CB would clear up values etc. Anyway I once wrote that value is in the eye of........ A brand new Jensen today's money would have to be around $400K.

Re: Really ?

I thought the build was using a suitable Jensen body, a GM engine and tons of other refinements far more than even a completely restored Interceptor at another specialist place could provide. My understanding of this company is that it has the workforce which is highly skilled and the finished vehic...

Genuine spanners

I should remind you all that I still have a spanner with Jensen stamped into the side. This spanner does have a green elastic band attached so not a valuable as the very scarce Jensen stamped spanner with a red elastic attached. I await offers. Will probably fit a S2 pouch. Kenny38 8)

Why on earth put this great car on bidding platform. It will never get a reasonable bid. Mainly chancers. Advertise properly at the right price. kenny38 8)

Re: interceptor

Prices certainly in Australia are going up.......for good to excellent cars. Recent sales are $125K for an SP and $140K being asked for (and definite interest by 3 prospective buyers when finished) for a restored '72 M3 in AM Grey. Probably with 25K GBP or perhaps a little more you will get a usuall...

Re: interceptor

Anything for 25K GBP will need work, probably a lot. Be mindful of the fact the majority of cars at around 25K used to be 3-4 years ago around 15K and that was what they were worth and still are. You may have to raise your budget unless you are an adept mechanic/auto electrician with a suitable plac...
