I painted my JH myself, I really enjoyed the experience and as long as you have realistic expectations I think you can get decent results. I've been pleased with the finish everywhere except for the bonnet - I discovered there are a thick layer of filler over the entire thing and wasn't brave enough...

I can make out the letters of the license plate - UGK and the first number is 5 or perhaps 6. Is there anyway to find out who owned it? There's only one interceptor with reg starting UGK still on the road and that's UGK574M. I wonder if it's that one? Was up for sale in 2015: https://www.joc.org.uk...

I changed the seat belts in my J-H because the old ones were pretty unsafe: the webbing was frayed, they didn't rewind any more and the inertial locking mechanism didn't work particularly well! I'm heading up to Scotland to drive the NC500 first week in August, not looking forward to the drive up, that'll be the longest drive the cars had in a while... but really looking forward to the bit up there, especially the whisky tasting :wink:
