Re: Brienz Blue paint formula

Just to shed light on color matching. The tints used in the 70’s may not be all the same as today. I had to switch to European verses United States in the 70’s because we in the states could not get the Reds and Yellows correct. Trying to make a shade or hew dead on. Does anyone know the factory Sup...

I would be just as well off if you coated the door hinge pins with some good anti seize before inserting them several times before hanging the door. RacerJoe

Re: JLO 78K 128/4382

Cannonball You are missing the point. The mismatch in color is a result of not paying attention to Wetness to distance from the spray gun to the pannel. To the orientation of the pannel in relation to how it is being sprayed air pressure A fender skirt can not easily be sprayed to match a 1/4 pannel...

Re: JLO 78K 128/4382

Cannonball. I beg to differ with your statement about painting panels off car causes them to miss match color. The mis match in color is the painters doing. If the paint is mixed and stirred prior to spraying and the panel is positioned the same as on the car as well as sprayed if on the car all els...

Re: Spark plugs

The Champion 11Y And 12Y were the specific plug of choice. If your engine has wear and soots up the plug then try a hotter plug or freshen up your motor. A hotter plug may be your problem because your motor needs it. A very cheap lesson in mechanics. Try it. RacerJoe

Re: painting tips

In reading you summery for tips given you stated that the warmer the better for spraying. That is not correct. The statement should have been the appropriate reducer for the temperature spraying. If you do not have appropriate flash off time you can wind up with solvent popping or drying of the top ...

Re: Charcoal grey paint code, anyone?

Have you considered removing from one of your cars the rear seats and setting the up like a 250 Lusso Ferrari or a 330 365 GTC Ferrari. Much like additional Luggage storage with Luggage Leather straps. Thinking of doing t with my 6 Pack Drophead RacerJoe

The machines have the strength to do the job the man behind the tool is the key ingredient take for example a spray gun. Very few can lay out a fantastic finish. RacerJoe

Re: Reinstating six pack

Another response on 6 Pack. My setup runs great from dead stop all the way up. The two out board carbs haver a hole drilled in them allowing more air while fully choked. Also I am running a factory cast Iron intake with the Mopar US factory Air Cleaner no dimple top. No clearance problems. The cente...
