Re: Advice needed - to rebuild or not

Hi John,

Might be wrong but I thought checking the trans fluid meant getting the trans warm, cycling through the gears a couple of times then checking the dipstick in neutral not park.
Please advise.

Many thanks,

Jon

Re: Insurance

Hi Simon, Welcome to the club. I have tried in the past to get insurance that would cover my son to drive my Interceptor, even on the basis of him driving only when I am with him, so that he could do some of the driving on some of the long trips abroad. Alas I couldn't find anybody to do it under a...

JOC access post

Hi there,
Relating to the recent locked post, is it necessary for everyone to change their password or just if problems occur. I noticed this morning that when I click a link, it is not loading up the web page but that might be just my I pad playing up.

Cheers,

Hi all,

I’ll be at Capesthorne tomorrow. Weather very damp and murky at the moment but fingers crossed for overnight and tomorrow.

Cheers,

JOC membership

Hi there,

I’ve just received an e mail from info@joc.org.uk saying my membership will expire on 30th Sept. I’ve never had any thing like this before. Is this a scam And has anyone else received anything similar.

Many thanks,

Re: 1973 MK3 Interceptor Barn Find Value???

Conditions in that barn must be pretty close to perfect for storing cars. A wonderful example. The same colour as mine was when new also. Did all the cars around that time have a leather trimmed gear selector, mine is only 3 months younger but has the horrible plastic looking one. Good luck with the...

Andy and Kevin to the rescue again

Hi everyone, Following my discovery of the cracked engine block in my Interceptor, the car has recently been to Andy Brooks at Appleyards where a replacement engine was fitted. The near side inner sill also needed re plating And floor pans re undersealing so that was done also. I’m pleased to say th...

Re: E10 Petrol

Hi Guys,

It would be interesting to hear whether Brian has undertaken any more recent tests and whether the Esso supreme is still ethanol free 12+ months later. If that is the case, I may swap from my usual Shell to that.

An Interceptor with a roof luggage rack. Don’t see that too many times.
Good luck with the search.

Re: Interceptor Registration Numbers

Hi Jim,
My J series Mk111 that I have owned since Autumn 2014 is PHD 785M (chassis number in signature) i have details of it’s original reg number somwhere. I don’t think that it has any significant history but you may say otherwise.

Good luck with your listing.
Stay well

Re: Is my car unique, or.... (Alternator Removal)

Hi Guys, Thanks for the posts. I have seen the foil type decals for sale somewhere on the internet since I bought mine and I thought at the time that they might be more durable than the vinyl ones. I think I paid about $6 for mine and the foil ones were about $20 plus another $20 or so shipping. As ...

Re: Is my car unique, or.... (Alternator Removal)

Hi Rocky, I spotted your 440 4 barrel air cleaner decal. I got one from Classic Industries last time I was at Huntington Beach but I chickened out fitting it because I thought it may suffer from the under hood heat with it only being a vinyl decal. Is yours the vinyl type and have you noticed any ef...
