Re: SP at H&H Auction 138 8398 DPX 76L

Thanks Grant, I’m pretty much done sorting it, 500 miles this week without issue. It just needed some TLC and some miles.

Re: SP at H&H Auction 138 8398 DPX 76L

I bought this after the auction. Lots and lots of minor issues from broken door lock mechanisms to water pump leaks and missing caburettor linkages. Previously the transmission had been rebuilt, the interior was replaced, the body is (largely) solid. Its only really the rear leaf springs that is goi...

Re: FF 119-102 at Silverstone Auctions

At least it does now have an MOT..the servo problem and corrosion having been sorted out apparently. Most of the issues with this one come from lack of use, from memory its done 300 miles in 8 years and not much in the decade before that, they just dont like sitting around for years doing nothing. ...

Re: FF 119-102 at Silverstone Auctions

Still on the Car and classic website with Cropredy as the vendor at just short of £105k. https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1205686 Interesting that Cropredy have one really nice picture of the car, no verbage, with fog lights, and the missing wheel centre in place. It doesn't look fake or unduly e...

Re: New mental disorder - Classic Car Anxiety Disorder (CCAD

My wife suffered from a common condition, anxiety her husband may buy (yet) another classic car. After years of experimenting I've discovered there is a cure for her. It's a form of aversion therapy, buy another classic regularly and eventually she'll become desensitised. It takes great patience and...

Re: How much

You're right that is a stunning car, I saw it when I was up there recently. I wasn't sure I'd like the colour but I loved it! The comment on our positioning is right, we focus on producing fully sorted cars which we backup with support and warranty. Cropredy don't put prices on our website for two r...

Peter Hall was the first owner of my FF, 119/006. I am pretty sure he was the real life person one of the characters (the Forger) in the film The Great Escape was based on!

Re: Latest auction result - Mecum

I'd say not, we are still seeing good demand at CBG, I think this one is struggling as its more a restomod than original (engine, transmission etc all changed). Happy to hear if people disagree?

Re: 5 Interceptors & 1 SP for sale at Cropredy bridge

There's a lot of buying interest from people new to Jensen at the moment, if members are looking to sell we could shift cars on commission pretty quickly; I agree it's two good MkIII's gone but I also like the SP, it's drives really well and made me grin every time I put my foot down, if I had more ...
