Not a European event but an JOC International event held in Germany.

Re: Parts Quality

Replacement parts are often made for as little money as possible, which means less quality control, cheaper materials, trying to cut corners by simpler construction/production methods. The suppliers fork out the production to the cheapest Chinese/Indian/Turkish/Myanmar etc. manufacturers to boost th...

Re: International Weekend 2024

It will be interesting to see what happens in the underground garage. When a bunch of Jensens entered a parking garage in Luxembourg some years ago, it caused a bit of a stir as the CO and smoke alarms came on.

Panel fit is not at its best: rear hatch, doors etc.

Re: Dutch Autumn weekend 2024 HJGH

We have a strong response from the UK.
There are still a few rooms available for our Autumn weekend in October. So if you want to join, don't wait too long to book.

Re: Non Jensen, what instrument?

It is indeed well over a 120 years old, looking at the wiring. It is probably mains powered by a selected 110V / 220V. Probably DC.
In the sixties, we still had both 110V AC and 220V AC, depending on where you lived. Before possibly DC.

Re: Non Jensen, what instrument?

Not sure about that. The green is to vivid, not olive-green. Also, the build quality is not really up to MIL spec.

Non Jensen, what instrument?

I have a small collection of old/antique instruments. Yesterday I acquired a small box with a strange instrument, sort of an Ohm-meter, insulation gauge ???? The dial is paper and there is a sort of scale indicator behind the glass of the cover. The needle is steel, probably magnetic, free rotating ...

Plenty of rust. Beware!
All wheels are differently "restored".
Rather messy looking underneath.
Bubbles under the vinyl of the roof, rust??
Hole in sill?

Re: Need a tachometer for a 1936 Jensen Ford - Any ideas?

There are several of the speedometers for sale on the internet, e.g. eBay.com and various other USA sites. The housing/frame, chrome ring, distance ring, glass and needle can possibly be used to create an electronic replica of the tachometer. The dial is easy to create digitally by a professional pr...

We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend at the excellent Hunter's Moon Hotel. Really a great place to be, in beautiful surroundings, well maintained, very good food, friendly, easy going and helpful staff and of course a fantastic Jensen crowd. A real credit to Zac and his team. A big thank you!! We got h...

New toy, sorry tool

I got a new toy, sorry tool, for my birthday from our son Niall. Amazing piece of kit, very simple but extremely effective for removing stuck screws with damaged slotted, phillips, pozidriv, hexagon etc. heads. I had a damaged and firmly stuck screw in my hardtop holding the half-moon shaped trim pi...

Re: Superb Early Interceptor Article

....... For a very long time they were largely unloved and forgotten car in the classic car world and even the JOC apart from a few stalwarts who kept the flag flying. They are just the sort of highly idiosyncratic model that only the Jensen brothers would have produced, worlds apart from the suave...
