Re: What did you do with your car today/weekend?

I removed some rust from my floorboards and boot floor, treated them with Fertan, zinc primer and paint. Furthermore, I installed new lambswool seat covers and, a few days earlier, my new aluminium fuel tank. I now need to renew the carpet on the sills and in the boot as they have been rotted by the...

Re: What did you do with your car today/weekend?

I was at Copredy Bridge to see the progress on my SP - in my 1966 Morris Cooper S ( and was spurised by a chap arriving in a 1964 Morris Cooper S ) :-) And believe it or not I ran into Jasper Terdu from Holland and we had a good lunch together in the pub nearby (BTW: Thanks Jasper, the next one is ...

Bad paint job. Look closely at the picture of the bonnet. A quick paint over?

Re: International Weekend 2024

Last week I bought a petrol tank in the UK. It was sent on Tuesday and delivered at my home on Thursday by DHL. You have to be able to pay the Custom charges and VAT by smartphone, though. No other way of payment is accepted. Never received a parcel from the UK that quick, before or after Brexit.

Re: International Weekend 2024

Has anyone developed a list of spare parts that it makes sense to carry, if left to my own devices, I will be strapping the 4 post lift on the roof. I would suggest ............, a fuel pump with a meter of fuel pipe.......... Steve Get a cheap electronic fuel pump together with fuel hose, electric...

Re: Parts Quality

The uncertain quality of new parts nowadays makes me in the hunt for NOS parts. Even rubber parts. I replaced a gearbox mount rubber on my Jensen-Healey not too long ago with a new one, as the (probably) original had finally given up the ghost after 40+ years. It has collapsed now. During the last f...

Re: Parts Quality

Replacement parts are often made for as little money as possible, which means less quality control, cheaper materials, trying to cut corners by simpler construction/production methods. The suppliers fork out the production to the cheapest Chinese/Indian/Turkish/Myanmar etc. manufacturers to boost th...

Re: International Weekend 2024

It will be interesting to see what happens in the underground garage. When a bunch of Jensens entered a parking garage in Luxembourg some years ago, it caused a bit of a stir as the CO and smoke alarms came on.

Re: Dutch Autumn weekend 2024 HJGH

We have a strong response from the UK.
There are still a few rooms available for our Autumn weekend in October. So if you want to join, don't wait too long to book.
