Re: Jensen-Healey parts

These do not look to bad. A skilled metal worker could make these very presentable again. What I have is not much better if at all and these things are difficult to find thus expensive in any decent condition. A nice set could set you back over GBP100.

Re: Jensen-Healey parts

Hello DavidB,
It was not me offering the "hockey sticks" on eBay. However I do have some: one set in aluminium and a not perfect set of stainless steel. I will have a look one of these days if I can find them.
Cheers,

Re: Tyres - same old topic but help needed

According to Vredestein this does not present any safety issues. However several friends of mine did experience severe balancing issues with these tyres from new which led to replacing the tyres (under warranty) several times. Notably on Triumph TR and Austin-Healey 3000.

Re: Jensen Factory postcard

Bottom left of postcard states NORCROS GROUP, doesn't this date the picture? Shaun. It would be at least pre 1978 when I visited Jensen Parts & Service for the first time after which several times followed. When I visited the place the parking lot was always full of cars which were wrecks for p...

I have the same "problem" since some time. This may be due to an update from Windows?

Re: E10 Fuel to be introduced from next year

Flaring SS pipes can be a problem and SS is prone to fatigue cracking.
Why bother? Cunifer is known to be an excellent and durable replacement for the standard brake pipes and is used by many modern car manufacturers! I don't get it.

5-speed Getrag gearbox, may fit J-H

On eBay a 5-sp Getrag Gearbox from a Chevette 2.3. In my opinion the bell housing should fit the lotus 907 engine in the J-H or may even be the same. Worth checking out? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-CIH-Vauxhall-chevette-HS-Getrag-Dog-leg-1st-5-speed-direct-top-gear/193490726082?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%...

Re: 1969 Mk1 FF-R supercharged

A hell of a lot of technical work and money has gone into that car for sure. Im sure it's an awesome drive. Would I like to own and drive it? Hell, yes. Having studied the pictures my attention was drawn to the sales blurb... 'It quickly becomes clear on a close study of the coachwork, panel fit an...

alloy wheels for Jensen-Healey

Nice pattern alloy wheel from a Vauxhall Viva/Firenza/Magnum HC. Should look good on a Jensen-Healey. Same diameter and PCD but wider so check the offset for the wheels to clear the wings. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/alloy-wheels-4x4-inch-Vauxhall-VIVA-FIRENZA-VICTOR-MAGNUM/124426207367?hash=item1cf8614087%3...

Re: Dutch HJGH International weekend 09-12/09/2021

It is very encouraging and hart-warming to see the intentions of so many Brits (and Scots) to participate in our International weekend next year. Thank you all!!
Now lets hope all this Covid-19 misery will be behind us in September 2021.

Hi Wolfgang, just noticed your remark below the pic of the exhaust box: sorry -no money for the rockwool inside Did you have good results with the Rockwool? On my TR4, I mounted a new stainless steel complete exhaust only 24 years ago. When it started to sound more and more "tinny" I cut ...

Re: Spring Break

We would love to attend a meeting in Scotland but at the moment things are to uncertain to make a definitive decision. In April/May there is a good chance that Covid-19 subsides and that International travel is allowed again without restrictions but we'll have to wait and see.
