Re: What did you do with your car today/weekend?

Put the 440 back on the engine run stand to see if the new trick rear main oil seal has stopped the leak. I will test it Monday or Wednesday.

Re: What did you do with your car today/weekend?

Finished up some stainless steel brake reservoir brackets for the ole Battleship. 74 Interceptor. No more flaking paint on those brackets! Not easy to make. I couldn't do it for a living.

Re: Road Trip in Progress

Good job, Rick. I did about 4000 on a trip to Iowa and back last summer. No cops were interested, thankfully.

Re: Roller tip rocker arms and ratio.

I have Mopar factory iron adjustable rockers on my car and a few of the rockers just kissed the baffles inside the valve covers. I raised the baffles about 1/4 inch by removing aluminum from the mounting posts.

Re: Oil Pressure advise please.

I had a similar resonance sound and even changed the engine but the noise was still there. New oil filter hoses fixed it!

Re: California & Western Region of the USA - Recognition, Growth & Support

Great idea. Steve Brenneman and I have kicked some ideas around for a Northern California and Reno based event then Covid got in the way. Just a bit too short a notice for me on the Arizona event.

windage tray tip

My built 440 is now running and sounds real strong. The oil leak was solved with a new product from Summit, a windage try combined with a gasket molded in. No more juggling 2 gaskets, windage tray and the pan. I used a Milodon 6 quart Hemi pan and the straight oil pickup tube. The old curved pickup ...

Re: Windscreen installation video

Three different "professionals" have done quite poorly. That is why I would like to watch a successful professional on a video.

Windscreen installation video

I think it would be very nice if someone, like a major Jensen restoration shop would make a video of a Interceptor windscreen installation. They could even charge for the video like Moss Motors does for their upholstery kit video. I am particularly interested in how to bend the chrome trim when it i...

Re: 440 rebuild coming along

Since the RPM heads have partially machined ports, I thought there would be less flash, burrs and roughness for me to clean up by hand. Since there was a sale, the upgrade to the RPM heads only cost about $200 or maybe it was nothing. When I got the RPM heads, there was still a lot of deburring that...

440 rebuild coming along

Local guru, Mopar Steve has installed the rotating assembly into my original block. Here are the new rods and pistons. I think they are beautiful. Lunati cam is next. Then the Ebrock Performer Plus heads. The heads had a lot of casting flash and burrs. I spent about 4 hours per head on the clean up....

Since it has the truck exhaust manifolds and a somewhat tall compressor, maybe it is from a truck.

Re: ThermoQuad accelerator pump problems

Ray,
I have put kits into my TQ's many times and not had a problem. I have spare TQ's also. I can measure something if you want.
