Had lunch at our local pub today and found this parked next to me when I came out.

Re: MOT if driving in Europe
A good question Steve, I get an MOT every year as its a very cheap safety check and even with full workshop facilities I cannot test the suspension under duress to the same degree the MOT station can with their shaker plates. For anybody in the UK the journey to the International this year will be a...

Re: Chrome Bumper Companies in Devon
Chroming seems to have jumped massively in price over the last couple of years, but then again hasnt everything. Local to you is SMB who I would strongly advise you avoid, they may be cheap but lack any quality control. I now always use Derby Plating who are probably the most expensive but I have ne...

Re: New member, 75 interceptor convertible
A beautiful car and one that seems to be getting the care and attention it needs.
Im sure having driven it you will know what an excellent and vastly undervalued grand tourer these cars are.

Both the 383 & 440 engines can be built from standard to extreme with or without a six pack.
There are many parts available for these engines.

Re: Apparently an SP
That is not an SP. It has bumper fillers and the J emblem in the back. It is a newer car. :) I have seen many cars with the J badges added especially G series cars. I think badges were a big thing in the 70s, so many owners may have added them. It was and still is a thing to make your car look like...

Re: Anyone know this car
I always like to see the oily bits as many cars have shiny paintwork, but money is often neglected in the engine bay. As soon as I see an old compressor and a/c pipework I think a bill of over £2K will be coming, the £1200 Peter mentioned will buy a Fenair system but then it still needs to be fitted...

Re: Best Version of Interceptor (Saloon) and Why?
A good topic for discussion Rocky, and Im sure there will be many differing opinions but for looks alone the MK1 wins hands down in my book. Not just for the dash as you mentioned which although a bit fussy with the switches if you are not used to them it exudes 60s class and is only bettered by a F...

Re: New member advice
Be prepared to travel to find the right car and walk away if you are not sure no matter how much time you have wasted as buying the wrong car can be a very costly mistake. Although some nice cars go through auction a lot of money pits also end up there and if you decide to go this route I would alwa...

Re: Interceptor MkIII rims on MkII
If it's an early Mk2 with pressed steel upper wishbones then that will be your problem  , the later type upper wishbones that are cast steel have the correct clearance :? ..I bet your Mk3 alloys are scraping on the pressed steel upper wishbones..if so just take a bit off of them with a grinde...

Re: Interceptor restomod YouTube vids
Ive been watching the Retropower videos, interesting to see their take on the bodywork, they were not impressed by the shape and fit of the doors so removed the skins to reshape them. Also they have done huge amounts of work to make the tailgate fit better and they still need to tackle the bonnet. I...

Although its not my thing I do like it more as the years go by.
But £27K to recommission after just 2500 miles , thats an expensive car to run.

Re: Check your fuel tank inlet hose
Youre right with the MOT Steve, I take my car every year and it also looks good for the online history should you ever come to sell. Its all well and good owners saying they check their cars themselves but how many really do it properly, I have only ever had 1 car on my ramp that didnt need somethin...
