Re: Really ?

I was talking to an owner of one of these cars last year and she was disappointed with the amount of snags after a month ( the A/C had stopped working and it was overheating in traffic were her two biggest niggles). For that money I would want it to be perfect in every detail with no teething troub...

Re: Really ?

- how can it be Zero mileage. ?? You're correct Colin, it would technically be illegal to zero the speedo odometer and then enter this incorrect figure on subsequent MOTs. However, there maybe a "loophole" where it is claimed a "new speedo" has been fitted at ******* mileage. Bu...

Re: Jensen sign

Rings a vague bell James.

Was there not a Jensen road-roller or dumper truck (or something) that used such a logo?

Nothing to do with "our" Jensens.

Re: Rare Protectors Jensen model on Ebay

"design and concept by cts" on the card led me to the view i had, that way its declaring its not original. My goodness this is hard work! It's an original Dinky. Full stop. On the card, the words "design and concept by cts" are the design and concept of the box and package and &...

Re: Rare Protectors Jensen model on Ebay

copies of the originals using the defunct name of dinky i think (copyright only has 20-30 yrs) then markets limited run of cheap copies on a theme legit i suppose as no infringements thats my guess :D And it's a wrong guess. As stated above, it's a "Code 3", meaning it's an original 1960s...

Re: Rare Protectors Jensen model on Ebay

if it's die cast it's of a very low quality, having models of bburago of some of my cars, looking better and costing around € 30-50  Not sure what point you're making Wolfie. The Dinky model was from the late '60s, early '70s, and was perfectly acceptable in the day. The current Oxford models...

It doesn't. He's made this up himself.

Re: 1973 Motor Show

Great link Colin.

Brings back many memories. Living in Australia, I always bought the UK Daily Express Motor show Review every year, really looked forward to it.

The metallic orange "Yensen" (03:17) was restored by me many years ago in my workshop in Scotland. I wonder where it is now?
