Re: Tachometer or rev counter for a 1936 Jensen Ford

There's a specialized company in Germany, maybe they can help, maybe also help you source the correct instrument: https://cm-instruments.de/Restauration-und-Zifferblaetter.html#info3-3 A friend's father had a company many years ago that made the dials (not sure this is the correct word for Ziffernbl...

Re: Two 541R projects for sale on ebay

Am I wrong in supposing that 79 WOO is chassis 451?
Good spot! That's the chassis number HP Wieland recorded. There was a Jensen exhibit at the Geneva Salon quite a few years ago, but I don't know when. Not sure how he managed to get that license plate, or is it coincidence?

I knock on wood, give the car a kiss (only when nobody is looking), and turn the ignition. Sometimes I remember to check oil, water and tire pressure.

Keith wrote: Thu May 02, 2024 8:46 pm Yes, we're very fortunate. That's a very reasonable price for the 541 and it looks an amazing car that is ripe for restoration.
How are we very fortunate- from the perspective of an owner who wants to sell?

We had a really nice outing with the Swiss Motor-Veterans-Club (SMVC Schweizer Motor-Veteranen-Club ), lovely weather, a pleasant route, and an interesting mix of cars and ending with a visit of a garage. Re: Selling Mk1 Interceptor 115/3213 - OSS 353G

It's just personally I don't like red cars external ly or internally Princess Grey with bright red interior was a "stock" colour combination for the C-V8, I'm assuming as defined by Jensen, to be delivered to the dealer to be sold there- a rather unusual colour today for a stock car. But ...

Re: MOT if driving in Europe

Having an international motor insurance card with you is probably a good idea (along with your vehicle registration document, of course), although I always forget to organize mine and have never been checked and luckily have not been involved in an accident. The local police do check foreign vehicle...
