Re: Classic cars on the road
A 16 year old was on board today in the C-V8. First time she'd ever seen window crank handles in a car. She thought that was the coolest thing ever

Hi Helen
Thank you, will get in touch with him. Would someone PM me his mail?

Re: Princess Grey
Unfortunately I haven't had much luck finding larger areas of the original paint. I removed the door sills- nothing remaining. Also behind the carpet to the right of the drivers foot there were no traces of princess grey. Two places which to me look like Princess Grey is in the hood opening mechanis...

Re: Princess Grey
Hi Mike, do you have any original paint left on the car to compare the colour? John- you're probably right: the British Standard Colour 00 A 05 is Goose grey / Sea Mist / Goosewing (good names!). One site I found converts it to NCS S 3000-N, which is a swatch we have at the office (next to RAL) that...

Re: Princess Grey
Felix, if the colour swatch at the bottom of the formula is the colour the formula makes then you have been given the formula for the body colour and not the roof colour, but it's obviously the roof colour that you need. Interestingly the code you had already starts with 00A05 then three digits, BS...

Re: Princess Grey
Classic Mike has responded (big thank you- but I haven't had the chance to decipher the formulas). The grey of the roof looks very much like the grey which is visible on my C-V8:

We've been asked by a member from Germany what the modern paint for Princess Grey is- does anybody have a paint code they have used? Apparently a code 00A05UCJ is in circulation, but we do not know from which company. And there is an ICI code M049-2334 but that doesn't lead me anywhere My C-V8 has b...

Fantastic Joerg! Great to have more history on the car. Does he still have any documentation on the work done? Cool would also be a garage sticker for your car. If they don't have one maybe they have an old letterhead you could use to create one... Sarkis Narjjarian: sarkis_narjjarian.jpg The car lo...
