Electric conversion
https://youtu.be/8eHLmnVW2rc Just saw this video on Youtube about electric classic car conversion and in the last minute he mentions there are 2 Jensens coming in this year for a conversion to rip out the engine and put in an electric package. Just curious, are the owners on this forum? :D Not my cu...

Also steering rods are shot and upper plus lower ball joints have has their best time. The lower ball joints are party missing their rubber caps. Unbelievable... All bei...

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017
I've had a great weekend in Saxony. Lots of driving but meeting and talking with fellow petrolheads was the best part. Very well organized by Joerg and Jens. The weather could have been better but also a lot worse. Next time in a Jensen again, I hope. However, the TVR Cerbera did very well in German...

Re: Does anyone here make up their own ignition leads?
I forgot where I sourced my crimping tool but it was no more than 20 euros. But a good set of pliers or a monkey wrench will do.
Did you try Appleyards for a set of leads? Or does he only have premade ones?

Re: Does anyone here make up their own ignition leads?
Yes, I make my own set cut to length. I prefer a set of HT leads from Accell. 8 mm, spiral core. They work very well and combined with a set of heat socks at the spark plug end last long.
There is a special crimping tool available. You should be able to find them online.

I'll be driving off tomorrow morning from home to Dresden.
Weapon of choice: TVR Cerbera.
Looking forward to see you all there. And maybe some of you along the road!?!

What stuff did you spray on first? It does look like Lizardskin (http://www.lizardskin.com/car-ceramic-insulation.html).

Re: Top Tips
There is no relation between badge and engine size anymore for most makes. And engines are rebadged and swapped between manufacturers very often nowadays. But wasn't this common practice in the past as well? I don't think much has changed. However, we're now returning to smaller sized engines. 800cc...

Re: Fuel: Competion 102
In my opinion a higher octane number will help to lower to temperature in the combustion chamber. And these modern fuels almost evaporate before it reaches the carburettor. Another interesting thing is that the high octane fuel does not contain ethanol. Maybe this explains the better combustion. At ...
