Re: An Englishman's home is his castle.

Hi John, thanks for the info. I like it, but I don't think I could get Val to move and I think getting the power and water companies to supply would be a very costly item. I suppose a desalination-plant would work for the water, but carting cans of diesel up that path for the generator would be a ch...

Re: Issue with Firefox

Hi Grant, it has certainly raised the old blood pressure to danger limit many times in the past and am only hoping that I will still continue to be able to open it with Google. Mainly I blame Microsoft for making each update more complex than the last and then conning people to buy it !! I always re...

An Englishman's home is his castle.

A new screen saver popped up[ on my laptop. Location is somewhere in the UK, Anyone know where ? Shetlands? I don't think you would get a Jensen up the drive, but possibly a motorbike.

Re: Issue with Firefox

That only lasted a few days and then back as it was. I now have an updated laptop and are using two browsers. Google and Mozilla Firefox. The forum only opens with Google. Firefox will not open it at all, no matter how many reloads.

Re: Blue 541, ex-Barrie Price.

Re. rear lights, my first 541, chassis 22/5206, had the two round Lucas lights mounted on an oval alloy plate. The car in question may have had the later style one piece lights changed by a previous owner, as I do know of a few early 541 owners who did just that. Re. fuel pump position, a better sit...

Re: Han Kamp 1951 - 2023

I never met Han in person, but we emailed each other many times. It always amazed me how someone in a foreign country could have found so much information on Jensen cars and commercial Jensen trucks etc. It was through Han that I got the 541 build sheets which have now been circulated all over the g...

Re: Issue with Firefox

''Mon Jan 18, 2021 2:55 pm'' This is the date when this problem first surfaced, and still not attended to. Not good enough by far. We all pay a fairly hefty price,( for some),for membership and deserve a decent forum. Earlier this year I was considering relinquishing my membership due to this bugbea...

Re: Issue with Firefox

Lately, I have got in as far as entering my pass word and then it goes back to the black page again. It seems to lose my password most times when I try and log in which does not make sense as I tick the box to stay logged in each time. The three windows method also worked today by the way Grant. It ...

Re: Famous 541R, ready for racing, for sale

I posted the above to give a better general background to the car, the bulk of which still refers to the car in question. I myself would have proceeded with the purchase of this car but declined only when it transpired that there was no history.paperwork or original seats/bumper etc. with the car, a...

Re: Issue with Firefox

Today was the first time that I have been able to access the forum for some time without resorting to other computers. However this was through an email link, re. a 541 post. Normal method does not work.
