Re: TechnoClassica Essen 2021

I know (at least in Gemrnay) and I fully agree - the most difficult thing is to get a bigger stand just for the club for free. How many cars would you like to show? If we have a good concept we may be able to get some more space but I assume that will cost us some money. Can we have a chat over the ...

Re: TechnoClassica Essen 2021

TC officially cancelled, no new date for 2021, next TC will be 2022.

And then the JOC will be back too.

Re: TechnoClassica Essen 2021

Thank you Shaun.

While reading your reply I think I should have consulted you before the decision. Please excuse that I didn't.

But everyone I talked to here in Germany supported the idea of not going so I thought I could publish.

Will do better next time

TechnoClassica Essen 2021

Although the organisers still think the TC will happen as planned (7.-11. April 2021) we have decided NOT to have a stand as the German branch of the JOC. I am not very happy with the idea of being in a large crowd no matter if there are official hygienic standards or not. I know how people behave a...

Re: Freedom!

Hey Joe, what a pleasure hearing from you again :D How I missed the yellow and red cards. As always you‘re damned right, the full effect is there a week after the second shot. But once you‘ve reached that target and have a 95% probability of being protected you still have to treat other people as if...

Re: Freedom!

Thank you for the good wishes - it is getting better but I am still a good part away from „full recovery“. That isn‘t done in a few days. Anyway, on the right track at least. My parents (82 and 83 years) will get their second dose of the vaccine this week so they are finally safe. A huge relief for ...

Re: Freedom!

The other way to get "freedom" is to catch Covid19 - that`s what I did in early January. I have no idea where I cought it, I followed all the rules, wearing masks, keeping social and physical distance, extreme hygiene - I still got it. After a good three weeks now it looks I am through, an...

Re: A belated happy 15th birthday to the forum

Congratulations to us! As a relative newcomer, I have really enjoyed myself since I joined both the JOC and Forum back in July 2006 - a mere 14 years ago  I am a 06er too, Forum member 100 (missed the two digit honours) and I really like this forum. So much better, more informative, friendli...

Re: Scalextric spares, restoration....and just about everyth

Never had Scalextric, in Germany the popular brand was (and is again) "Carrera". At the height of my collection I had a few cars (greately reduced nowadays) but I still have approx. 45m 4-lane tracks. The great thing about the "Universal 1:32" system was, that it used three wires...
