Yes I have a beefy swaybar and stiffer front springs. It goes nicely around corners with minimal roll.
Any thoughts on the rear suspension? I have coil overs which help but the rear is loose compared with the front.

Re: 123 / 3660 Restoration restarted
I have been away from the forum for some time but have had a lot of fun with HW5397 over the years.
I had a dyno tune mainly to change the ignition and get a few horsepower. The dyno gave 310 rear wheel HP and 707 Nm. It has always been a torque monster.

Your car looks gorgeous Richie.
123/3660 was also made in December 1969. Reasonably spritely for a 50 year old, no breathing issues or accidental exhausting issues.

Bea693C Oxford model fail
I'm normally not an anorak but this deserves mention. Oxford models must have all been out drinking the night before this model was commissioned

Re: 123 / 3660 Restoration restarted
I have checked the tyres Twright55, and confirm that they are 225 55r17. Mine are Dunlops and the Jensen has a very "planted" feel with this tyre/wheel combination. Coilovers at the rear and adjustable Spax shocks at the front help with the ride, unfortunately the handling is compromised b...

Re: 123 / 3660 Restoration restarted
The wheels are 17x7 and from memory the tyres are 225 55r17. I will check to confirm but they are pretty much the same rolling diameter as the original specification and the GPS speed matches the speedo.

Here are some photographs of HW 5397 at a recent car show.

I have posted this before. I think that it adds some colour to the engine bay.

Re: Classic cars on the road
My Jensen broke down with a failed gearbox a couple of days before a "tour" with friends. I was lucky enough to borrow a very unsophisticated replacement. It is the oldest car and the only one with vinyl seats. Had a great time but very primitive compared with the modern muscle. So it is o...

Re: 123 / 3660 Restoration restarted
i have not posted for a while. The gearbox was relatively easy to fix, it only cost $$$. Jensen mounting Daimler.jpg A Holley Sniper EFI and distributor has been fitted controlling fuel and timing. There are some real positives in that it always starts on the button, hot / cold or whatever. It idles...

Re: Interceptor mk2 123/3708
The rostyles came from the US, bought through a local agent, Elite Wheels. They were a little cagey who made them.
They enhance the car (my opinion) but still look period.

Re: 123 / 3660 Restoration restarted
So after getting the vehicle warranted (MOT) and registered I decided to have a legal drive and live life in the fast lane. Unfortunately the reconditioned transmission "shat" itself and would only travel in reverse.
So until it is fixed, back to the slow lane...
