Re: Anyone else getting phishing JOC specific emails?

PS - another fun way to ruin a scammers day is NOT to hang up on them. You can tell they're from a call centre by the longish pause that happens between when you answer the call and when someone comes on the line. Their software allocates the call to one of their staff only when it thinks they have ...

Re: Anyone else getting phishing JOC specific emails?

Have also had 'JOC' emails phishing for stuff. They're pretty easy to spot as fake, the email address is always something wacky. But you can have a little bit of fun with these scammers. I decided to sell a garden shed recently and posted an ad on Gumtr## . Got a response pretty quickly after it wen...

Re: What do you call your Jensen?

One is the White Witch, for obvious reasons.

The other is the Cane Toad. Imported pest, bilious green in colour and lots of problems.

None of which matter.

Re: The Jensen Genome

It's funny how mistakes look obvious in hindsight. I do a lot of stuff for local governments. I once had to draft a covering report for a proposed new cemeteries bylaw for a remote outback council. To test if anyone actually read it I included the following in the body (sic) of the report: "As ...

Re: Surviving Interceptors

Thanks Jim I can confirm that as of yesterday (24 November 2023) it is alive and well out here in dry ole Perth, albeit still needing some work to get it back on the road. Graham doesn't have email but I will PM you and pass it on to him together with the terrific note from you above. Greatly apprec...

Re: Surviving Interceptors

Hi Jim and all I gave one of our local members here a hand last week getting the timing on his Interceptor II sorted (don't think I was much use, couldn't see the timing marks for love or money, but Graeme could!). Anyway he also owns an early Interceptor I, which I think had the number plate HEA 2D...

Re: Joke thread 2021

Re 'Just use oil', there was an entity here years ago called the 5000 Club. I don't know if it still exists but to be a member you had to own a car with an engine displacement of 5 litres or more. Their stated objective was to rid the planet of the evil of fossil fuels by fire. Very forward thinking.

Re: Chris Liversage - 1973 Jensen Healey Mk1

PS - Martin- you might recognise the Black Mountain magnetic sticker from the US Jensen East meet in North Carolina in 2018 on the bonnet of the J-H in the last pic. If I recall rightly you, the Mangroos, Colin and Diane and several other JOC members were also there. It's a bit far from Fremantle to...

Re: Chris Liversage - 1973 Jensen Healey Mk1

I'd have thought the Chrysler Galant would have been a Mistubishi / Colt Galant made under license rather than a Mazda? You are right, it was a Mitsubishi. I bought it in the 80s and it never let me down. I eventually traded it in on a Mitsubishi Scorpion (Sapporo in the UK?) because it had air con...

Re: Car of the Month

I had no idea how to submit anything until I read this; would it help to put a 'sticky' at the top of the part of the part of the car of ze month website detailing how/where members of the Great Unwashed can submit their humble offerings?

Some of the tales are really interesting.

I also met Frank in person at the 2018 US Jensen East meet; he was great to chat to and very free with his help/advice.

Super nice bloke.

Here he is giving Stratton Hickey some help with his Interceptor convertible:

Jensen Motor Association of Western Australia AGM

The Jensen Motor Association of Western Australia had its AGM last weekend. For our sins I was re-elected President for Life of our little banana Republic and Comrade Andrew Partington (Interceptor III molester) as Central Party Secretary. (There is no truth to rumours that dissenters were threatene...
