Re: Mk 3 Int at Bonhams

You are right. Although it was knocked down for £17,000 at Bonhams and the on-line website displayed ‘sold’, lo and behold, it is now showing as unsold.

Re: Carburettor

Thank you. It is an early 440, so it appears the Holley is original: everything else is, but now it won't tick over and you have to keep blipping the pedal to get it to continue to run.

Carburettor

Anyone know someone who will refurbish and set up a Holley carb off a 440 Interceptor? Or am I best just to go and buy an Edelbrock?

Yorkshire Car Meets

there is a regular, free classic car meet which takes place on the first Sunday lunchtime of the month at the Black Swan, Brandesburton, north of Beverley, East Yorks, from 11.30am until 2pm, so the next one is on Sunday 5th November. I have been a few times and a c-v8 and a 541 regularly turn up. T...

Low Oil Pressure

Oil Pressure Drop When I fire up my 6.3 V8 the oil pressure on the gauge is good but once the engine is up to normal it drops, according to the gauge, to 25lb and after a run, the gauge shows it at about 15lb on tickover. The engine is not making any odd noises and seems OK but I obviously do not wa...

Re: Interceptor water leak

It is not the aircon so I think the manifold studs suggestion is the right one. It is not chuffing so I will probably try some K Seal in the radiator. Thank you for your suggestions.

Interceptor water leak

I have developed a small water leak, which is more of a drip every 3 or 4 seconds and it is baffling me. It seems to be coming from somewhere on the block above the offside rear sparking plug, so far as I can see.

Anyone any ideas? The car has antifreeze and has never been out in frost.

....it also appears to have an Interceptor II badge on the grille.

Must be a 'front shunt' variant!

Re: White Mk III at Cropredy.

The badly done front panelling makes it look a bit like a Bristol 603 at the front. Perhaps it's an Interceptor 603,
