Vehicle History

Three avenues you really should pursue to research the history of your car Steve are: First & most importantly have a chat with Keith Anderson when you join the JOC if you haven't done so already, as he will have a store of knowledge about previous members who may have owned your car. xxx£5 cont...

She's a beaut Steve. Looks like a reef blue to me, but it's difficult to tell as they always photograph as metallic blue the green tint never shows up for some reason (I know I've tried adjusting the colour balance on photos I've taken of mine & can't get it back) Anyhow back to the subject, you...

Hi Dave & Jane. Great to see someone organising something in our neck of the woods, count Jo, Mitchell & I in for a family room. It seems weird paying to stay in a hotel 10 minutes from our house but we'll enter into the spirit of the thing & be the first to sign up. Incidently if your c...

Just thought I'd let you know that, in the end, I decided to go for a change of colour; from metallic maroon to tangerine with a black vinyl roof and no pinstripes. As the much of the car was stripped back to bare metal (humungous rear wheel arch, rear valance and lower door rust which has been cut...

Cheers Matt.

Didn't think it would be possible really, shame though hey?

How about Gold leaf hand applied under several coats of lacquer? That should look bling & might keep some of the heat out of the cabin.

But you can keep me out of it. After the threatening and abusive PMs I've had over this thread (yes, really), I want no more to do with it. However, I'll be happy to publish the final outcome after you've all sorted it out amongst yourselves. I'm very sorry & more than a little disappointed to ...

Here's a set of Ro-Styles that don't look too bad, current bidding has them cheaper than a refurb & you get a spare motor & several hundred kilos of Iron oxide thrown in for good measure. http://www.joc.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4757&highlight= No need to thank me, it's all part of t...

So any ideas i'm also keen to hear about ....

I think Jill's hit on the solution to everyone's objections there. If the survey were to take the form of a questionaire with the questions to be vetted by Keith &/or the administrative team (Jill's list would make a great starting point) & respondants limited to allocating marks out of 10 f...

Hi Steve.

Just been checking my collection, I only started at issue 179 but I've got a few missing copies, if you've got them I'm missing:

Issues 180, 181 & 184, if you can spare them I'll gladly have them off you, can't make the International but I could meet you @ Uxbridge Show weekend.

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes. CRAZYMOPARGUY - I think you mean enjoy them while they are too young to talk back! WALLACE - Well done for mentioning AF spanners in conjunction with Jensens & not cracking the obvious King Dick jokes! IAN & ZAC - You're right about Saarburg & Jo w...

JOC's youngest member

In case anyone's been wondering where I've been for the last few months... I've been building one of these: https://www.joc.org.uk/forum_images/albums/f355/timterceptor/jensen/IMG_0023.jpg His name is Mitchell & he showed up about 3 weeks early last Wednesday (28th May), just after we'd been to ...

The old pinstripe conundrum.....I was boring my wife about it last night. I reckon a black pinstripe goes best with a tangerine and black roof/black interior, although not sure if a single, thin stripe is better than a double pinstripe...also not sure if it should wrap around the rear of the car or...

Welcome to the dark side Glaffy & Alan, now you just have to decide what colour for your pinstripes: Black to match the roof & interior? or Silver to pick out the chrome & the wheels?

Decisions decisions.....
