Re: 1974 Jensen Interceptor MKIII

It's always good to read/hear of a car being bought back from being a potential breaker/scrapper;
let us hope your buyer has the means or capability to bring this project to fruition - neither a cheap or a fast process, if done properly.

I bought a Tesla ........

BATTERY 8) We have had solar roof panels for a while, but the price for selling our unused output back to 'the grid' is lousy, and certainly not increasing like electricity prices. So we decided to keep our unused output - and had a fairly big battery fitted for that purpose. Now if "knowledge...

Re: FF 275 for sale at Silverstone auctions FJJ 9J

I was talking to a very "knowledgable" guy at a recent show and the FF came up and he said anyone who boiught one could have many problems some unfixable and in full running order a bloody disgrace fuel/climate wise. He said real value is in it's place as a trend setter and entirely non P...

I'm so pleased you found a good example of one Richie; perfect for the whole family that and a doddle to maintain.

Be well,
Mark

Re: FF 275 for sale at Silverstone auctions FJJ 9J

Not sold yet.....hammer price of £76k. It seems punters were more keen to spend £200k on a Sierra Cosworth RS 500 or a Subaru Impeza Millennials and Generation X buying the 'dream' cars of their youth again, most frustrating, especially for glorified Fords; we called them Dagenham dustbins in my yo...

OK, now I can see where you/Mr D maybe going with this, I've seen and sold registration numbers on far thinner pretexts/desires, so suspect you are right.

Congratulations to all involved in creating such an excellent looking stand. Unfortunately my domestic commitments still prevent much travel beyond my own and my aging Mothers home areas. I hope you all both much enjoy the event and also officially receive the recognition deserved for all that hard ...

Re: JIA Interceptor For Sale

It doesn't seem so...based on the DVLA evidence that the number plate hasn't yet been transferred and log book re-issued. JIA are doing the selling - presumably on behalf of the owner - so it is no doubt in their interest to keep the re-sale value of their products as high as possible. The FFR..nic...

Result inc Premium: £27,540 all in, seems cheap IMO, very little history "(several invoices for recent work)" but it looked and sounded to drive OK.

Most of the front end appears to be Mk 3, it would be interesting to know who did the work.

Re: A Difficult Day. End of a Near 20 Year Era. Sold Car...

Fairly near to me, so I'll keep my eyes open at shows etc. Saffron Walden is the only place I know named after a crocus. No need, I bought it, and actually live in a small village outside Saffron Walden. It had been my intention to start a new thread, as the car is temporarily with a marque special...

Re: Indoor framed carcoon / cair-o-port storage system

Thanks for your interest. The fabric tent can be rolled into a ball. It certainly squashed into the boot of my Volvo (C70) with ease. With most of the poles easily fitting inside the boot as well. 2 or 4 poles from memory were slightly longer necessitating being fitted through the boot ‘ski hatch’....

Re: Indoor framed carcoon / cair-o-port storage system

Could you please give some indication of the size when all apart; I could certainly find a use for this, but am not certain of the cost moving it from Bristol up into Herts/Cambs area.
