Re: 541 caught on camera
Went past the old AC factory at Thames Ditton and they have cranes up, I bet it's a housing estate; Cobra Cul-de-sac, Ace Way, Daytona Drive, Aceca Avenue. I wonder if Model 70 will be a house name?

Re: Unwanted Heat
That's all very well Jens but how's a girl supposed to feel when Wallace gets a 'Good to see you online again Wallace' and what do I get? Am I being unfairly treated? I think so. I now know how Boris feels. ( Sighs deeply and goes off in a sulk, stage right .) (Enters stage left wearing monacle.) A...

Good to see you online again Wallace. Will we get to see you in person though? Hope you're well 8) Hello Aston, hope you are well, I am OK bodily and may be tempted out to play this year. There is a possibility I will be at Goodwood Revival if the stars align and the FIA grant fresh papers for a ca...

Re: Barrie's wheels (and lunchbox)
the dealer quotes it at 6.8 ltr, DVLA says 6.3. It appears to have later Interceptor rocker covers and air cleaner, maybe heads as well to get the fittings for the power steering pump, so maybe a complete interceptor engine. But where does 6.8 Ltr come from? Andy, 6.8ltr is a mistake, the engine is...

Re: Ouch !!
Single-vehicle RTAs always make me wonder about the competence of the driver. I had one, in 1976. Well, an incident, really, as I hit nothing. I accompanied my friend with his family to East Midlands Airport in his very new Audi 100. My job was to drive his car back to his house and leave it on the...

Re: Chassis dolly / cradle
I had an Autovip 1700 car roller, a well made piece of equipment and this allowed me to roll the CV8 nearly 90° within the space I had to work in. A rotisserie would have been better suited, unfortunately the workshop was too short for the end supports. I made a bolt together dolly that enabled me t...

Back to the car. DEAD. OK, I have my load bank thingy but sadly, due to forgetting to top it up over the last year it is dead. Phone breakdown. Very nice guy from Eggertons turns up. Puts jump leads on and fires first time. Result.... but not. Measures voltage across battery and it is up and down l...

Re: CV8 electrical charging system
I remember a case of serious overcharging on that day at the International and that was just paying for the replacement as yours had no output! What voltages are you seeing at idle and 2500rpm? Are the headlights wired for four low beams? If I remember, there was a huge Halfords battery on there tha...
