I take the time to give you news of my Jensen Mk1, chassis No. 117/2611.

 

Some work has been done since the purchase in order to be able to use it without problems:

- normal oil changes: engine, gearbox and rear axle

- replacement ignition beam and spark plugs

- complete carburettor cleaning, change of seals and parts

- replacement of fuel pump and hoses

- complete tank cleaning

- replacement of the brake calipers by Coopercraft parts

- repair of the master brake cylinder by C-Brakes

That's basically.

It has great success with collectors and other enthusiasts when I use it.

This car will soon undergo a total restoration to bring it back as close as possible to its original state.

I will give you news from the beginning of the work, when I have bought all the parts necessary for the works. The car is complete but I want it to be very beautiful.

Good morning,

My name is Philip, I live in France in Avignon,
I started restoring my second Jensen: an Mk1 model registered in France, March 7, 1968 under the chassis number 117/2611.
It runs great but I want to restore it as like as the project that I completed for my Jensen Interceptor SP 1973: entirely disassembled and reassembled in new, in its original finish. It took me six years, but the result worth it!
I want to change the original brakes system to adapt a Coopercraft kit front and rear as explained in the magazine Torque No. 4, published in 2008.
In any case, congratulations for this site that I do not get tired of watching regularly !
I will not fail to do Register my car with pictures of its current state and evolution of the restoration.
