Current Owners Comments (as at July 2016)

I have owned 115/3012 since November 2001, the previous owner was JOC member  Peter Rothery, he had owned her since November 1989, and arrived with me as an older restoration than needed TLC, Peter having completely rebuilt the car in the early 90’s

Since then I’ve done over 12,000 miles in her.

The car was originally left the factory on October 1968 and was registered RMY9 and was sold via Guy Salmon Ltd

Originally Crystal Blue with Dark Blue leather with Power Steering and Voxon 8 track

The first owner was I R Mason-Styrron from Beefolds, Churt in Surrey covering around 20,000 miles

By 1971 the car was in Cheshire, owned by the M.A.J Petranca, MD of Intra inns Ltd registered 23MP

They Owned Craxton Wood Hotel until 1997 when it sold to Macdonald hotels

The car was still at this point being serviced by Jensen in West Bromwich every 4000 miles it is thought that they kept the car for around 3 years

We now have all the factory files with the car, including the factory road test shakedown info, and she still displays some of those niggles to this day!

Since 2001 the car has been in regular use, although it has had 2 repaints, and some major bodyworks in 2011 which included arches and valances.

The only modifications to the car are the Coopercraft Brakes and braided hoses, plus the 8 track also has MP3 compatibility, plus a fast wind starter. The car is also running wider mark II Rostyles

Work carried out over the years of includes

New mainifolds, Alternator, New Bumpers, New Carpets,

refreshed seats / trim in original Blue,

Coopercraft Brakes and braided hoses,

rebuilt 8 track also wth MP3 compatibility, fast wind starter,

rebuilding the rear axle,

re-veneered the woodwork on the transmission tunnel and instruments,

rebuilding electric window motors and switches,

Inertia reel seatbelts all round

2 repaints, one in 2003 and one in 2011 more structural, that included bodyworks in 2011 which included arches and valances.

Jobs to come include re-coring the radiator, and replacing the cooling fans

Sorting out the centre caps on the wheels

The car has been featured in articles in Classic Car weekly, as well as Classic and Sportscar.
