There was some doubt about the Chassis number of this car but Ian has finally had it confirmed that this car is 115/2967 and not 115/2900 that it was sold to him as.

Good news – the DVLA have finally confirmed the car I have is 115/2967 and I also now have the original registration plate of PJU 100G.

Hi Steve,

Cannot remember if I emailed you previously but I now own a MK1- 115/2900

I also have been scouring the MK1 website for pictures as I am trying to do a detailed and at the moment rolling restoration.

Wondered if you could tell me the following as the parts catalogue does not help. The Lucas 5SJ washer bottle bracket, how is it affixed to the inner wing. I have been told 2 2BA bolts but am unsure whether these are are slotted, pan/cheese/countersunk or even hex head. Also the bracket does have 3 holes not 2.

Also I have been searching for an original wooden steering wheel and boss, I wondered whether you had any contacts that may be able to assist.

Kind regards,

Ian.
