After receiving a phone call this morning, I've just been to have a look at a Series 1 Interceptor for sale close to me. Details as follows:-

Chassis Number 115/2749

Engine Number 727/15B

Registration Number XJV 946 (Original Number, MB 66, no longer with car)

The car has been painted black and, though in need of restoration, appears to be reasonably solid. All wheel arches seem to have good "lips", engine started and runs well with good oil pressure. No bubbling around tailgate frame. The car also seems to be complete. Bumpers are off the car but are in the back, complete with overriders etc.

Odometer showing 71999 miles.

Has had a large, non original sunroof fitted, but guess this could be altered back to a solid roof reasonably easily?

Car is in need of restoration, but could be a good project for someone?

Located in Great Barford, Bedfordshire, close to the Black Cat roundabout off the A1.

mentioned a figure of £***** on the phone, but could well be open to negotiation on that? The guy has done a lot of work underneath and slapped under shield everywhere….. so can't really say how good (or not) the work is. Of course, anyone interested would have to give this much closer inspection?

However, I was surprised that the outer body arches seemed to be pretty solid, so maybe this is a good sign for the underside?
