Current Sales Comments (Jul 2017)

Launched at the ’66 Earls Court Motorshow, the Carrozeria Touring Designed Interceptor was the latest car from Jensen.

The early cars were built by Vignale in Italy before production was moved to the West Bromwich factory.

In mid-1969 the front suspension was redesigned replacing the king-pin with independent, coil sprung, ball jointed wishbones and telescopic dampers. The dual piston Dunlop callipers were replaced with Girling triple piston units which endlessly improved braking. Power steering was standard fitment.

Finished in its original colour combination of Regal Red with Black leather, NOP 14F is a wonderfully patinated example of the early West Bromwich built Interceptors

With bills from ourselves for over £8,000 in the last 18 months, this MKI is a lovely example of a well maintained and used car. Nicely original and with great structural integrity it would make a superb car to either be enjoyed immediately or upgraded to show winning condition over time. Either way, the free revving 383 ‘Golden Commando’ V8 deserves to be used.

Often favoured by purists for the typically Italian interior and clean lines, MKI’s are becoming sought after and offer a classic experience in a car which was very far ahead of its time.
