Of the Mk1 series, this was the only Interceptor exported to Monaco.  After a couple of months of its original purchase, it was sold to a gentleman employed by a secret service/security type unit of the US Government. This vehicle traveled extensively to places such as Ireland, England, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq & many places in between. It was even transported on an aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean. It came to the United States around 1971 and continued its travels throughout this country. I purchased the car in 1992 and it lost about 300 lbs. of rust on its way to me via transport. We have painstakingly kept the original Italian ambiance of the late ‘60s and modernized & customized for reliability and a few creature comforts. It took five years of spare time to rebuild this Interceptor. It has been on the road since 2002 with 44,000+ miles now on its restoration. I drive it as often as time allows. I have driven it into Western Canada to Los Angeles and back; East to Utah and across the USA (New York into Eastern Canada to Seattle) and in Europe as well.  It has won all the Jensen Nationals Best of Show it has entered: West Coast 2002, East Coast 2003, West Coast 2010, 1st in England’s Jensen International Concours Show in 2004 and always first in class in various local shows.
