These comments were advised by Samsung and the list below indicates some of the owners and warranty work done in the early years.

Information added by son of a previous owner Dec 2012

I would like to pass on some information to the owner of Jensen DAB 689 H (samsung) which I have found on your website which may be of interest.

The vehicle was bought by my late father in about 1973/4 as an insurance write off with nearside frontal damage. I cannot remember the Reg No at this point but the car was  a pale yellow colour  The vehicle was repaired and I can remember going to somewhere in Halesowen to collect a new front wing which cost £70( a small fortune in those days). Due to the fuel crises my father installed a BMC 2.2 or 2.5 diesel(the taxi engine with an auto gearbox. This conversion was not entirely successful due to the tall rear axle ratio. Eventually the V8 was reinstalled. I see the car has a towbar and I am fairly sure that this would have been fabricated by my father as we had a caravan and  went on holiday in the vehicle in 1974/5.

When the vehicle was put on the road the ministry man who came to inspect it said that the vehicle had spun off the road when put into reverse at 60mph. I think the car was sold in very late 1976 or early 1977. At the time we lived in Worcester and if the vehicle was reregistered at this time, hence the DAB registration.

I will ask my mother to look through some old photos, as there may be some with the car. My most memorable trip in the car was Torpoint to Worcester in three hours before the M5 was finished (it started at Taunton) including the Torpoint ferry crossing to see my grandmother in hospital on completion of my basic training in the RN.

I hope this information will be of some interest.
