Hi Steve,

As per your request on the Facebook page I have attached a few photos of my car 115/3033 from a recent photo shoot here in South Australia.

For your info the car remains as a driver with no significant changes and is still in fairly good condition.

I do however have plans afoot to freshen up the engine, install a 518 overdrive Torqueflite and a Mk3 diff with 3.54 gears.

Should make the car nice and lively off the mark and also well suited to the wide open roads here in Oz when using the 0.69:1 overdrive.

Plan is to have it all installed prior to our national rally in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains in NSW at the end of May this year.

That’s about a 2,000 mile round trip so a good test for the car. Wish me luck!

Mk1’s still rule!!!

Cheers from Aussie.

15/3033 is alive and well and I can probably claim to have the most travelled Mk1 on the planet.

We do thousands of miles every year with the car traveling to rallies and other events all around the country.

Status of the car. I would describe it as good driver quality car and still undergoing a rolling restoration as we use it.

Visually the car still looks the same as the photo I sent you for the Mk1 register albeit with a bit of wear and tear.

Still my favourite Interceptor model!!

I have a Mk1 here in South Australia. It is on your list,115/3033. It is currently in good condition and on the road as a driver.

I have owned the car for about 6 years.

Car has recently been de-rusted and repainted Crystal Blue and has had a mechanical rebuild. It is a good driver car and does a lot of miles on the road here in Australia. It was placed third in the members choice award at this years annual Jensen National rally at Kangaroo Island in South Australia.
