Hi Steve,

115/3017

I went to the workshop today where my Jensen is and had a hard inspection, what I’ve found is –

  1. 1- There  is no inner wing VIN Plate.

  2. 2– Photos on the Crossmember shows  plate shows 115/3017

  3. 3– The Cubby box plate shows 115/3368, it’s believed that the cubby box/lid has been replaced.

  4. 4- The door cards clearly show 115/3017

  5. 5- The trim is correct as it Beige.

  6. 6- the original colour was Crystal Blue but I’ve had it re-sprayed a different Blue .

Hi Steve,

Wondering if you can help out, I I purchased a Mk1 5 years ago through the owner of a workshop in Norfolk, the history that I know of it is, the previous owner left it in a workshop in Oxford for restoration, they undertook some work on it but had never received any payment from the owner and did not respond to any calls or correspondence, the car stayed her for 2/3years.

The workshop owner decide to sell to recover his losses and made contact with ‘Locost Classics’ in Norfolk and that’s how I was offered and purchased the car, I applied to the DVLA for the V5 but they have no record of it and have stated that if the club can provide details they (DVLA) will issue me a V5.   Can you provide the detail required by the DVLA and let my know what the process is.

Regards

Joe
