Current Owners Comments (as at Jan 2019)

Here are a few photos I took last week of the car, I’m going back to Norwich on Wednesday to remove a complete interior from another car for it and any other missing parts as that was part of the deal, then hopefully Thursday or Friday I will collect the car.

Alex said he sold the car about 4 months ago & it had a good history file but this unfortunately has gone missing along the line which is a shame,

Hi Steve

Yesterday I purchased 115/2751 1968 Mk1 currently on Irish plates OZL 900,

I have no paperwork with the car but have checked all the numbers to verify it is the correct car, I wondered if you had any info on the car or could put me in touch with the previous keeper to see if there’s any paperwork/history. I know the car had a interior fire and at present has no interior, I have emailed the DVLA today to find out how to register it in Uk now;

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks Alan (member no 3987)

I put Alan in touch with the previous owner (Alex) who kindly sent the following reply

When I sold the Jensen it had plenty of paperwork.

Did you not get the Irish brown logbook?

It was originally sold by Ever ready garage in Donnybrook Dublin.

It was first registered to a Mr Myrescough.

I bought it around twenty years ago from Tom Tripp in Dunlaoghaire Dublin and he is the last registered owner , he was an Antiques dealer and he is still alive despite the smoking.

Believe it or not it is registered as a goods vehicle to avoid tax in this country.

It was vandalized and set alight in his garage, I bought it some years after this when he offered it to me.

I sold the car with a spares car that I bought from silverstone auctions but I assume the dealer you bought it from broke them up and sold them separately as interceptor prices rose it became viable to restore the spares car.

I sat on the car with good intentions for twenty years and having restored a customers FF  from the ground up I couldn’t face it again so I succumbed to the pressure to sell and let the two cars off.

It should have come to you with a complete series 2 interior as well.

It has a very sound body as it was always garaged.

I’ll be very happy to see it restored ....it’s about time!

I remember the car driving around when I was in school.

Best regards
